Why Christians are eager to share Christ. 06/13/2010
Many years ago, when I was an unbeliever, I often asked myself a question when meeting with Christians. Why these people so obsessed are invite all to come to church? Who or what makes them do it with such fanaticism? Frankly, I thought they were zombie. Often I felt like a victim when talking with them. Since I am a man with a good education : ) I almost always listened to them until the end, not wanting to offend. And frankly sometimes thought: there are so many people around, why do they choose me? Many years have passed. I met with Jesus. I became a believer. (That this is the best event in my life.) Now I'm at every opportunity, trying to tell people about God. Now I am doing this with an obsession. And it does not seem to me something supernatural. I think it is quite normal. How is it possible? I used to think it strange, but now normal. I would say more, now I think this behavior is only correct one. What has happened to me? Recently, I heard the words of a wise man, and I understood happened to me. When he spoke on this subject, he cited the example of two seas: Galilee and the Dead. They are next to each other, but they are totally different. Life exists in one of them, but another is dead. Do you know why they are so different? Because the river (Jordan) follows from the Galilee Sea, and no river not flows from the Dead Sea. Galilee Sea is filled with water from streams and gives the water in a river. But the Dead Sea is only fills with water, but did not give it off. I can also cite as an example the stream and marsh. Water flows in the stream, and therefore this water is alive. Water is stagnant in the marsh and therefore it becomes unfit for consumption. This example of water is not accidental. Let us remember the words of Jesus, which he said to the Samaritans woman: 14 But whoever takes the water I give him will never be in need of drink again; for the water I give him will become in him a fountain of eternal life. (John 4:14) Jesus is living water. 37…Jesus got up and said in a loud voice, If any man is in need of drink let him come to me and I will give it to him. 38 He who has faith in me, out of his body, as the Writings have said, will come rivers of living water. (John 7:37,38) We are filled with the Christ and give Christ to the people. We provide the knowledge of Him. And thereby give life to people. Just as they have been given this life to me. But man who does not share his knowledge about Jesus cannot give life. No matter how he filled. God bless you! CommentsLeave a Reply |
